ECED2050 — Children with Exceptionalities
4.5 Credits Students become aware of the theory, development, and philosophy or early childhood education programs serving children with exceptionalities. Topics include planning working with families, Communities, legislation, role of the interventionist, interdisciplinary teams, and inclusion of children with special needs in natural environments. This course requires field experience within early childhood education settings. Note: Students are required to complete the Child Care Fingerprint Criminal History Check and the Child/Abuse and Neglect Registry Check through the appropriate Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to complete required field experiences.
