DIMA1320 — History of Graphic Design
4.5 Credits Students are introduced to the major developments and advancements in graphic design from the mid-15 th century to the 21 st century. This course enables the graphic design student to recognize and analyze the advancement of graphic design history in order to assess its impact on the industry today. The student accomplishes this by learning about graphic design history set in a historical, socio-political context. The student learns formal analysis of graphic design theories and elements, as well as, the contextual relevance. 5
