COMS1110 — Public Speaking
4.5 Credits Students learn basic theory and practice speaking effectively in public. Topics include topic selection, audience analysis, speech preparation and organization, support of speeches with credible research, strategic and creative language use, effective listening and delivery skills, and common types of public speeches. Recommended: ENGL 1010 - recommended prior to taking the course, but not required.
