ARTS1000 — Introduction to the Visual Arts
4.5 Credits Students gain a broad understanding of the visual arts and develop visual literacy proficiency. Students will explore why and how artists create and will have an opportunity to observe the creative process. Fine art media, techniques, formal composition, and thematic topics are addressed. Students also consider continuity and change in art over time and the relationship between the arts and society.
