AMFG1101 — Sensors in Manufacturing

4.5 Credits Students are introduced to the basic principles and practices of sensor technology used in advanced manufacturing. Students learn to utilize commonly used sensor technology from simple switches to complex modern sensors. Students will be required to match appropriate sensor technology with specific manufacturing processes. In addition, students will attempt certification assessment through SACA, Smart Automation Certification Alliance. This course will use lecture, lab, online simulation and programming to prepare students for C-205 Sensor Logic Systems 1, and C-213 Smart Sensor and Identification Sys. 1. 5
