Reinforces medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines for International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). Introduces the student to the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) coding guidelines. Promotes critical thinking related to coding quality, fraud, and abuse.
