RED3393 — Differentiated Instruction in Content Reading
The student will differentiate instruc - tion for diverse learners by applying the principles of research-based strategies and integrating six components of read - ing: phonological awareness, phonics, oral language, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. The student will learn about research-based practices related to instruction of efferent reading and select effective strategies to improve compre - hension. This course addresses Just Read, Florida! reading endorsement competen - cies 2 and 3. Fifteen hours of clinical hours are required in a grade 4-8 setting.
