This course focuses on the care of adult/ older adult patients with health altera -tions that require medical and/or surgi -cal intervention. Emphasis is placed on the care of patients with alterations in selected body functions. Concepts of cli -ent-centered care, informatics, safe prac -tice, and professionalism are emphasized throughout the course. Clinical experienc -es provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe patient care to adults in a variety of settings. Prerequisite: PRN 0080C and PRN 0204C. (150 Contact Lecture Hrs., 150 Contact Clinical Hrs.)
