NUR3805 — Transition to Professional Nursing
This course focuses on the transition of nursing students from an associate degree program to the role of the BSN nursing graduate. The BSN role builds on concepts and experiences previously introduced. The history and evolution of the nursing profession, ethical imperatives, and current trends and issues impacting professional practice in an evolving healthcare delivery environment are foundations for the development of the professional nurse. The role of the BSN prepared graduate focuses on utilization of evidenced-based nursing practices and advanced leadership and management skills in a variety of settings within a global community.
