HUS1440 — Family Issues in Chemical Dependency
This course is designed to analyze the effects of chemical abuse on the family system. Emphasis will be placed on family roles and dynamics; characteristics of children (including adult children) of chemical abusers; theories of co-dependence; and adaptations made individually and socially by family members. Critical issues and strategies in family treatment will be explored.
