HIM2222L — ICD Coding Systems Laboratory

This course is designed to apply diagnoses and operations into numerical designations (codes) utilizing the International Classification of Diseases and Procedures. Students will learn correct sequencing, analysis of clinical disease processes, diagnosis and procedural terminology, and application of pharmacology in current coding systems. Encoding software is utilized.

Prerequisites: BSC 2085, 2085L, HIM 2472
