MTH 112 — Algebra for Calculus

emphasizes algebraic functions - including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarith mic functions. The course also covers systems of equations and inequalities, quadratic inequalities, and the binomial theorem. Additional topics may include matrices, Cramer’s Rule, and mathematical induction. Prerequisite: MTH 100 with a grade of C or hig her; or appropriate mathematics placement score. Additionally, student must have completed Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II in high school.
