Speech Communication Arts
Speech Communication Arts prepares students to communicate confidently across interpersonal, organizational, and mass media contexts. Students choose a specialization in either mass media/public relations or intercultural/interpersonal communication. Courses include Interpersonal Communications, Intercultural Communication, Public Relations Communications, Mass Media Communication in a Global Culture, Argumentation Debate, Radio Broadcasting, and Broadcast Television. Faculty hold master's and doctoral degrees and teach students to control body language, adapt to diverse audiences, and maintain cultural sensitivity. Graduates earn an associate degree and have access to career services for job search and interview preparation.
