NURS-2175 — Childbearing Family Nsg Clin
(formerly NURS-2165) This patient and family-centered clinical course helps students develop skills in providing and managing nursing care. Utilizing the nursing process, the student will develop critical thinking skills, communication skills, application of technology, and professional responsibility while safely caring for mothers and their families during the childbearing cycle. New skills emphasized during this rotation include infant assessment, evaluating electronic fetal monitoring data, and supporting new families during their childbirth experience. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis. Students are required to pass this course to progress in the program. (4.5 billable contact hrs)
