PUBH320 — Principles of Applied Epidemiology
5 credits This course introduces the role of epidemiologists in public health practice. Students learn how to measure the health status of populations and the strength of a relationship between a disease and a risk factor. Students are introduced to public health surveillance, including its purpose and characteristics and how to report key surveillance findings. This course also covers the steps in investigating a foodborne outbreak. Prerequisites: Admission to any BAS program Course
