HUM215 — Diversity and Social Justice in America

5 credits This course will engage students in an extended analysis of diversity and social justice in the United States with the aim of exploring current realities of race and social class and their relationship to power and privilege. Students will develop and strengthen awareness and understanding of how power, privilege, and inequity are reinforced and challenged at individual, institutional, and systemic levels. This course meets the Humanities general education distribution requirement. Prerequisites: ENGL& 101 (pre or corequisite) Course
