FSE261 — Embalming II with Lab

3 credits A study of the process of chemically treating the dead human body to reduce the presence and growth of microorganisms to temporarily inhibit organic decomposition, and to restore an acceptable physical appearance. The student examines procedures and treatments for handling and embalming difficulties encountered due to disease and pathological changes, autopsied and procurement cases, organ and tissue donation cases, and various conditions encountered in the dead human body. This course will have a lecture and hands-on laboratory component. Prerequisites: FSE 251 and FSE 255 Course
