CMST300 — Professional Communication
5 credits This course focuses on interpersonal communication skills, small group communication, and public speaking required for the professional workplace setting. Key topics include listening skills, conflict resolution, nonverbal communication, cultural competencies, and the impact of electronic and social media. Written as well as verbal communication skills are practiced. Students will relate skills and coursework to their respective jobs and career goals. This course meets the Humanities general education distribution requirement. Prerequisites: Admission to a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program Course
