APDZ474 — Interactive Design III

5 credits This course follows Interactive Design II. The focus of this course will involve integrating user experience with visual interfaces. Students will be expected to apply what they have learned about design thinking and research methodologies as a starting point for all assignments. Students will work in small teams to conduct research, evaluate data, and develop a design that considers the needs of identified stakeholders. Design concepts are expected to go beyond traditional user interfaces to include the unique consideration of haptics, controls, and ubiquitous computing. Emphasis is placed on the quality of the students’ ideas and their ability to give form to their design concepts. The final project will demonstrate a student’s understanding of UI and UX through documentation (process book) and a final presentation. Prerequisites: APDZ 473 Course
