NUR 1006C — Professional Transition/Chronic Care Management
Contrasts theoretical concepts and psychomotor skills of nursing practice to LPN or Paramedic practice. Students integrate nursing theory; professional standards; legal and practice issues; communication; collaboration; critical thinking; and integrative health principles. Addresses physiological, psychological, ethical, cultural and developmental health issues to manage care of diverse clients with chronic illness across the lifespan. Topics include gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurologic, musculoskeletal, respiratory, renal, cardiovascular, reproductive, and hematology/immunology systems.
