NURS 222 - Mental Health Nursing Clinical NURS 222 - Mental Health Nursing Clinical This course NURS 222 Lab/Clinical course reinforces the theory with integrated skills laboratory and clinical practice components to provide opportunities for hands-on development of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for quality and safe nursing care of adolescents and adults with alterations in mental, social, and emotional health. Opportunities are provided for development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for competence and accountability in understanding human behaviors, necessary adaptations, therapeutic communication skills and the delivery of evidence-based care to the client. The course consists of lab experiences and off campus supervised clinical experiences in a variety of clinical settings related to mental health care. Must be taken concurrently with NURS 221 Theory Component.
