HSCI 110 - Medical Terminology HSCI 110 - Medical Terminology In order to work effectively in the health care field, it is necessary to acquire an understanding of medical language. The purpose of this course is to assist the student in gaining an understanding of medical terminology to include building and analyzing medical terms. Emphasis is placed on disease, diagnostic and treatment procedures, medications and laboratory tests related to each body system.
