ENGL 090 - Basic Developmental English ENGL 090 - Basic Developmental English The purpose of this developmental English course is to prepare students to enter LDCC’s developmental English sequence at the 095 level or to prepare them for proficiency in career preparation courses. The course focuses on mastery of basic grammar, usage, and mechanics at the sentence level, and secondarily provides practice in reading comprehension and composition of brief writing pieces.
