NUR 410 — Informatics in Healthcare

Introduction to healthcare informatics from an interdisciplinary perspective. Foundational concepts of healthcare informatics are explored, including theoretical underpinnings of healthcare informatics; use of information systems in a variety of healthcare settings; the e-patient and participatory informatics; quality, usability, and standards related to healthcare informatics, legal and ethical implications for practice; and emerging technologies. Required: Acceptance to the Nursing, Bachelor of Science program.
