AUT 319 — Suspension, Steering & Braking

Introduces the theory, operation, inspection, and service of modern vehicle suspension, steering, and braking systems. Students learn to identify components, explain system functions, perform inspections, and carry out basic service procedures related to ride control, wheel alignment, and braking performance. Emphasis is placed on pre-alignment inspection procedures, wheel, tire, and bearing service, and the safe use of industry-standard equipment. The course develops foundational chassis knowledge and skills that prepare students for certification in chassis service and for advanced study in vehicle dynamics and electronic driver assistance systems.
