AUT 317 — Electrical Sys & Engine Performance
Introduces the diagnosis and service of automotive electrical, ignition, and basic engine performance systems. Students learn to inspect and test electrical and electronic circuits, diagnose starting, charging, ignition, and basic emission control system concerns, and verify proper system operation using digital multimeters, scan tools, and manufacturer service information. Emphasis is placed on electrical theory, system interaction, safe work practices, and the development of foundational diagnostic and repair skills using industry-standard tools and procedures.
