AUT 303 — Auto Heating/Air Conditioning
Covers the diagnosis and service of automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems used in modern vehicles. Students learn to identify system components, diagnose airflow, temperature control, and refrigerant system concerns, perform required service or replacement, and verify proper system operation. Emphasis is placed on electronic climate control systems, environmental and safety standards for refrigerant recovery, recycling, and recharging, and the use of manufacturer service information and HVAC-specific diagnostic tools. The course prepares students for industry certification and professional HVAC service practices.
