AUT 301 — Automotive Service and Repair Practice

Provides hands-on experience in a simulated automotive repair shop environment at the Advanced Transportation Technology Center (ATTC). Students learn to locate and interpret service information, diagnose vehicle concerns, plan and perform repair procedures, and document work according to professional standards. Emphasis is placed on safe work practices, efficient workflow, proper use of tools and equipment, labor time management, and effective communication with peers, customers, and instructors. Students complete diagnosis and repair activities on program vehicles and live customer projects while developing the professional skills required for entry-level employment as automotive technicians. May be repeated for a maximum of 9 credits.
