AUT 299 — Engine Repair
Covers the diagnosis and service of internal combustion engine mechanical systems used in modern vehicles. Students learn to identify components, diagnose mechanical faults, inspect and measure engine parts, perform disassembly and reassembly procedures, and verify proper engine operation according to manufacturer specifications. Emphasis is placed on servicing cylinder heads, valve trains, timing systems, engine block assemblies, lubrication systems, and cooling systems using precision measuring tools, industry-standard service procedures, and safe work practices. The course builds upon foundational automotive repair skills developed in earlier coursework.
