WIT 107 — Mechatronics Blueprint Reading

This course presents an overview of methods used in presenting and interpreting a variety of industrial blueprints and schematics focusing on manufacturing and automation. Students learn to interpret: dimensions and tolerances; sectional views; pictorial drawings and specifications; welding prints; instrumentation and control fluid power diagrams; and tables and symbols used in industrial mechanical maintenance. In addition, students learn to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, symbols, abbreviations, ladder logic and control diagrams. 12 (3 lecture hours)
