HRT 225 — Greenhouse Management

Focuses on maximizing plant growth in controlled environment structures. Lecture topics include greenhouse, high tunnel, and other growing structure designs with emphasis on location, glazing, heating, cooling, lighting, control systems, irrigation systems, growing media, fertilization, and integrated pest management. Laboratory activities include plant production and experimenting with different environments. 12 (2 lecture hours and 2 lab hours). Note: In addition to tuition this course requires an additional variable tuition rate.

Prerequisites: HRT 102, AGR 205
