ECE 124 — Language and Literacy Development in Early Childhood

This course focuses on language and literacy development during the early childhood years. An emphasis is placed on fostering the development of young children within and among the four language arts (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Students learn to utilize a variety of materials to develop age-appropriate strategies in developing the language and literacy of the children with whom they work.
