RNSG1301 — Pharmacology
RNSG 1301 - Pharmacology RNSG 1301 - Pharmacology Introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions, adverse effects, and nursing implications of drug classifications. Content includes the roles and responsibilities of the nurse in safe administration of medications within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to either a blocked or integrated approach. In addition, the course focuses on the basic concepts and terminology used in the study of pharmacology. Pharmacokinetics for major drug classifications is emphasized as well as drug administration routes. Note that the RN Math Requirement that is a Lecture Hrs. = 3, Lab Hrs. = 0 Prerequisite: ENRD 402 or equivalent; and MATH 350 (B or better) or MATH 330 or equivalent (College Ready Standard) Pre/Corequisite: BIOL 2401 or BIOL 2404
