RNSG 1413 — Foundations for Nursing Practice
Introduction to the role of the professional nurse as provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, member of health care team, and member of the profession. Content includes fundamental concepts of nursing practice, history of professional nursing, and a systematic framework for decision-making and critical thinking. Emphasis on knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. Prerequisite: BIOL 2301 , BIOL 2101 , ENGL 1301 , PSYC 2301 or PSYC 2314 . Prior or Concurrent with BIOL 2302 & BIOL 2102 . Concurrent with RNSG 1205 and RNSG 1260
