Emphasis is placed on societal transformation, social organization, culture, cultural diversity, socialization, social stratification, social institutions, and social change within a national and global context. Semesters all, Spring, Summer See an academic advisor for sections that allow concurrent enrollment with ENGL 098 and NCAS 103 . The textbook for this course is an open educational resource, provided to students at no cost. Access to the textbook will be available on the first day of class. This course includes one or two onsite proctored exam(s) for all online and ORT sections. Students will need to travel to an LCC campus or request an approved non-LCC proctor (additional fees may apply) to take the exam(s). Online, Hybrid and ORT sections of this course require internet access to complete quizzes and/or other assessments.
