NCEL 170 - ESOL for Business NCEL 170 - ESOL for Business 0 Credit Hour(s) / 0 Billing Hour(s) This 8-week non-credit course focuses on vocabulary specifically used in business. The vocabulary is essential for students planning to work in a business-related field. The course also explores various careers in business, with an emphasis on short-term certificate programs that lead to employment in one-to-two semesters. This course is accelerated, using lecture and online instruction. Students will expand their vocabulary-building skills and improve their reading strategies, reading and listening comprehension, speaking skills, and writing skills. Audio equipment and computers are available to aid students in building fluency. Students are expected to work 4-6 hours/week in addition to class time.
