MEDA 145 - Legal & Ethical Concepts MEDA 145 - Legal & Ethical Concepts 2 Credit Hour(s) / 2 Billing Hour(s) The student medical assistant will learn about documentation guidelines, federal and state guidelines when releasing medical records and information, following established policies when initiating or terminating treatment, scope of practice, Code of Ethics compliance, HIPAA, ADA Amendments Act, and local health laws.
