MEDA 110A - Intro MA Med Terms & Patho I MEDA 110A - Intro MA Med Terms & Patho I 2.5 Credit Hour(s) / 2.5 Billing Hour(s) This course, the first of two modules, will introduce students to essential medical terminology, covering the basic human anatomy, and disease conditions encountered in a career in medical assisting. Emphasis in this module is on the musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, blood, lymph, and immune systems. Semesters all Seats in this program are limited. To enroll, students must be 18 years of age or older by the start of classes and must submit a Medical Assistant program application along with required supporting documentation. Online applications are accepted March 1 thru June 25th and are available in the Medical Assistant section on the HHS Advising Guide site ( www.lcc.edu/hhs/advising-guides.html ). Applicants are encouraged to apply early as enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once admitted to the program, students will be required to complete an ICHAT background check (there is a fee for this service, instructions provided upon acceptance to program) and attend a mandatory program orientation, which typically occurs mid-July.
