MATH 095 - Support for MATH115 MATH 095 - Support for MATH115 2 Credit Hour(s) / 2 Billing Hour(s) This course provides support for students enrolled in MATH 115 . Topics include: algebraic expressions, powers, roots, ratio and proportion, linear and quadratic equations, evaluating and solving formulas, graphing, perimeter, area, and volume calculations. Emphasis on problem-solving for technical applications. Semesters all, Spring 0 in (MATH 105 or MATH 106) or a Math Placement Score indicated below Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and (BSM1/CPT Arithmetic 85-120 or BSM2/CPT Algebra 40-76 or ACM1/Accuplacer Arithmetic 250-300 or ACM2/QRAS 225-259 or [HS GPA 2.5-2.99 within 10 years]). Contact your instructor to discuss options if either course is dropped during the semester or if a passing grade is not achieved at the end of the semester. A graphing calculator from the TI-83/84 series is required for coursework. Class participation is strongly recommended; participation is a significant and important part of the course to enable success in MATH 115 .
