Geologic resources (e.g., minerals, energy, and water) and hazards (e.g., earthquakes, landslides, and flooding) are explored. Laboratory includes rock and mineral identification, map reading and interpretation, evaluation of land use alternatives, and problem-solving activities related to environmental issues.
