CHSE 109 - LTC to AC Nurse Assistant/PCT CHSE 109 - LTC to AC Nurse Assistant/PCT 3 Credit Hour(s) / 4.75 Billing Hour(s) This course will prepare individuals for employment as a nurse aide/patient care technician (PCT) in hospital and rehabilitation settings who have previously completed a long-term care nurse aide training. This course will build on long-term care knowledge and skills, adding acute care and rehabilitation knowledge and skills required to deliver quality and safe basic patient care. Semesters all, Spring 5 in CHSE 108 within 1 year or (current CNA Certification and Department Approval) Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and Writing Level 4 Contact Sue Schneider or Mary Pacitto at 517-483-1410 for more information. Required: Completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and HIPAA online training; information given first day of class. Negative 2-step TB (tuberculosis) tests within the last year. Students must pass an ICHAT criminal background check prior to the beginning of clinicals; information given at first class session. Students must meet physical requirements for the duration of course as specified in the course syllabus. Students will be charged a $20 fee for ACEMAPP required documentation/testing.
