Stresses basic laboratory techniques, writing lab reports, and critical thinking exercises. Topics include density determination, thin layer chromatography, distillation, synthesis, empirical formulas, calorimetry, molecular geometry, gas laws, chemical equilibrium, pH, and water hardness. Semesters all, Spring, Summer 0 in CHEM 151 or concurrently Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and Writing Level 6 and [Math Skills Level 20 (College-Ready) or minimum 2.0 in ( MATH 120 or concurrently)].
