CHDV 284 - Early Childhood Practicum CHDV 284 - Early Childhood Practicum 5 Credit Hour(s) / 5 Billing Hour(s) This course includes field experience. Students will plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences to support each and every child in an early childhood setting. An emphasis is placed on the development of professional skills for working with colleagues, children, and families. Semesters pring 0 in ( CHDV 215 and CHDV 220 ) Placement Scores: Reading Level 5 and Writing Level 6 Course Note: All students must register for 8 hours/week at an approved (by CHDV program) weekday daytime fieldwork site by emailing jordanh@lcc.edu . Students must pass an ICHAT criminal background check and a State of Michigan Central Registry Clearance prior to beginning fieldwork. Students must submit proof of COVID vaccination and a TB Test prior to beginning field experience. Students who have not submitted proof of a completed ICHAT, Central Registry Clearance, negative TB Test, and COVID vaccination by the 2nd week of the semester may be dropped from the course. In addition to regular class time, students may be required to complete training online required for field experience. Information will be distributed via the course management site.
