ELEC 281 — DIGITAL INTEGRATED CIRCUITS/
LAB Introduction to digital logic emphasizing number systems, logic gates, Boolean algebra, combinational logic, arithmetic circuits, flip-flops, counters, registers, decoders, encoders, multiplexers, A/D conversion, D/A conversion, and IC logic families . Laboratory exercises will include construction of digital circuits to help in understanding the operation of basic logic gates, flip-flops, adders, multi-vibrators, comparators, timing diagrams and the relationship of timing signals to system operation . Circuits are analyzed using Oscilloscopes, logic pulsers, and logic probes . Prerequisites: ELEC 100 and ELEC 101 . (4 cr)
