NURS 180 — Nursing Fundamentals

The focus in this course is to introduce the concepts of the nursing role and fundamental care of individuals with common health problems. Beginning medical-surgical concepts are introduced. Application of knowledge includes planned experiences in the classroom and clinical settings, which include the simulation environment. These experiences provide students the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and attitudes that encompass the role of the nurse. Prerequisites: Acceptance into the Nursing program
