CIS 264 — Advanced C++ Programming

CS2 course builds on the foundational programming concepts covered in CIS 164 and focuses on advanced features implemented in C++. Object-oriented techniques are extended using inheritance, polymorphism, templates, the Standard Template Library (STL), file I/O operations, exception handling, and data structures such as linked lists, stacks, queues, and binary trees. Recursion is also introduced. Exercises are designed to enhance problem-solving skills and the ability to develop complex programs by integrating multiple object-oriented and template-based components. Upon completion, participants will have acquired practical expertise in advanced programming techniques, preparing them for complex projects or further specialization within computer science.
