HMSV 1138 — Work Adjustment for the Developmentally Disabled 2 Credits
This course introduces students to the fundamental principles necessary for providing a coordinated work adjustment program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Students will learn normalization principles, vocational assessment and evaluation techniques, basic rehabilitation engineering, and behavior management techniques used in work adjustment. This course meets a portion of the requirements for persons applying for the Adult Services certification in the State of Ohio and meets the requirement for renewing this certification. It is also applicable for the renewal of the Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) certification.
