EDUC 1120 — Education - An Introduction (CTAG, TAG) 3 Credits
This survey course introduces students to topics in education including the purpose of education and the role of schools in a democratic society; economic and political contexts within the educational system; legal and ethical issues; as well as culturally responsive and inclusive schooling. Students will examine topics in-depth as they explore the foundations of education, teachers, students, schools, societal contexts, legal and ethical issues, and professionalism in the field.
