Essential employability skills are the general skills required to be successful in all sectors of the labor market. These are separate from the technical skills attained in career pathways or academic skills, such as math and reading. The Essential Employability Skills Framework focuses on the specific areas where skill gaps currently exist, particularly those considered high priority by employers.The objective of this class is to support employability in seven essential areas: •Interpersonal Skills and Teamwork•Communications•Integrity and Professionalism•Problem Solving and Decision Making•Initiative and Dependability•Information Processing•Adaptability and Lifelong LearningEach area will delve into the skills needed to secure and maintain employment, as well as thrive in these opportunities.
