ECE256 — ECE Reading Practicum

3 credits · 3 hours

This course will provide learners the tools to work with learners who have experienced interrupted schooling and are currently facing one or two reading levels below their peers. The population consists of 81% low income, which puts them in a disadvantage compared to other peers in the same grade in Reading. The course will strive to help future teachers work with children to reach their academic goals, gain confidence, and resilience to face possible hardships through their educational journey. Note: This course can be repeated for a maximum of six total hours.
